The Sen Times have reported that the Central government employees will have to wait more for the 30 per cent hike after the implementation of 7th Pay Commission. According to reports, Cabinet is unlikely to approve the implementation of the revised recommendations this month. There were reports that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government will take final call over the proposals of 7th Pay Commission this month, but new developments suggested that the Empowered Committee of Secretaries was ‘unsure’ about the proposed 30 per cent hike in the salaries of the central government employees.

The report also mentions that the Empowered Committee of Secretaries may want to have two other meetings to make final decision for overcoming the difficulties to fix new pay and allowances, after which it will be sent for cabinet approval.
